My name is Kim and I am the owner and operator of Plaits & Paints. In 2021 my world changed forever when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and gave birth to my son 5 days later. A few years on and I wanted to start something that would work around both my disabilities caused by treatment and my son. I have always had a passion for hair styling and face painting having been doing both on and off since I was 15 years old so it was a natural step for me to form it into a business. 

My absolute favourite part of this job is seeing peoples reaction to their transformation. Be that a hairstyle or a unicorn face paint seeing the smiles and joy I can give others will never grow old.
